LED Screen Maintenance in the UAE: A Practical Checklist
Heat, dust and humidity are what shorten an LED screen's life in the UAE, not the LEDs themselves. A screen that is kept cool, clean and at sensible brightness gives years of daily use. Most problems start small: one dark module, a flickering cabinet or a loose data cable. Caught early, each is a quick swap.

| How Often | What to Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | Look at the screen on a full white and a full black test image | Spots dead modules, colour patches and flicker early |
| Monthly | Clean the surface and the vents with the right tools | Dust traps heat and dulls the picture |
| Every 3 months | Check power supplies, data cables, fixings and the fans | Most outages start at a loose cable or a tired power supply |
| Twice a year, outdoor | Seals, drainage, the structure and corrosion | Humidity and summer heat attack joints and steel |
| Yearly | Recalibrate colour and brightness | Keeps replaced modules matching the rest |
Heat Is the First Enemy
Electronics age faster when they run hot. Outdoor screens need clear airflow behind the cabinets and fans or air conditioning that work through the summer. Indoor screens need space behind them, not a sealed box. Running a screen at full brightness indoors only shortens its life; most indoor screens look right at a fraction of their maximum.
Dust and Cleaning
Use a soft brush or a dry microfibre cloth and low-pressure air on the vents. Never spray water or glass cleaner directly onto an LED face, and never use a pressure washer on an outdoor screen. Fine-pitch screens, such as COB, have their own cleaning rules, so ask before anyone touches them.
Keep Spare Modules From Your Batch
LEDs from different production batches can show a slightly different colour. When we supply a screen, we advise keeping spare modules and a spare power supply from the same batch. A failed module is then a swap of a few minutes, with no visible patch.
Automatic Brightness Outdoors
An outdoor screen should dim after sunset with a light sensor or a schedule. It is easier on the eyes, uses less power, runs cooler and helps the screen meet the brightness the authorities approve.
Maintenance by Our Team
We service screens we installed and screens from other suppliers: checks, cleaning, module and power supply replacement, controller updates and calibration. The company works 24/7, so work in malls and shops can be done at night.

How long does an LED screen last in the UAE?
LEDs are often rated around 100,000 hours to half brightness, but heat, running hours and maintenance decide the real life. With good ventilation and servicing, many screens give years of daily use.
Why does one part of my LED screen look different?
Usually a replaced module from another batch, a failing power supply or a module that needs recalibration. A technician can usually fix it on site.
Can I clean my LED screen with water?
No. Use a dry soft cloth or brush and low-pressure air. Liquids can enter the modules.
Do you maintain screens you did not install?
Yes. We check the screen, tell you what it needs and quote before any work.
