COB and Fine-Pitch LED Screens
Fine-pitch LED has pixels close enough together to look sharp from one or two metres away, and COB (chip on board) seals those pixels under a hard, flat surface. We install both for boardrooms, control rooms, broadcast sets and luxury retail, where people stand close and the screen has to look like a single image.

Where COB and Fine-Pitch LED Fits
Typical projects we plan and install.
Boardrooms
A large, sharp screen for presentations and video calls that replaces a projector.
Control Rooms
Dashboards, maps and CCTV on one wall that runs 24/7.
Luxury Retail
Close-up product screens where every detail matters.
Broadcast and Studios
Backdrops that look clean on camera.
COB or Standard Fine Pitch
Fine pitch usually means P1.9 and below. P1.2 and P1.5 are common for meeting rooms; P0.9 suits screens viewed from about a metre.
Standard fine-pitch modules use tiny surface-mounted LEDs, which can be knocked off by a trolley or a hand. COB covers the chips with a solid layer, so the surface can be wiped and is far harder to damage. This matters at reception desks, corridors and anywhere the public can touch the screen.
Many COB cabinets come in a 16:9 format, such as 600 x 337.5 mm, so you can build exact 2K and 4K walls without cropping.
Pixel Pitch
| Pixel Pitch | Closest Comfortable Viewing | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| P1.2 | From 1.2 m | Boardrooms, control rooms, broadcast sets |
| P1.5 | From 1.5 m | Meeting rooms, executive lobbies |
| P1.9 | From 2 m | Hotel and office lobbies, retail feature walls |
| P2.5 | From 2.5 m | Malls, halls, showrooms |
| P3.9 | From 4 m | Stages, events, rental walls |
| P4 to P5 | From 5 m | Shopfronts, building entrances (outdoor) |
| P6 to P8 | From 8 m | Building facades, stadium screens |
| P10 | From 10 m | Roadside and rooftop screens |

Questions About COB and Fine-Pitch LED
What is COB LED?
COB means chip on board. The LED chips are mounted directly on the module and sealed under a flat coating, which makes the surface tougher, smoother and easier to clean than standard LED.
Is COB worth the extra cost?
Where people can touch or knock the screen, or where it is filmed close up, usually yes. In a high wall away from people, standard fine pitch is often enough.
Can a fine-pitch LED wall show 4K?
Yes. With the right pitch and cabinet grid, a wall can be built to a native 4K resolution. We size it in the design so the content maps pixel for pixel.
Does fine-pitch LED get hot in a meeting room?
It gives off some heat, like any display. We confirm the power and heat figures so your HVAC is sized for it.
